Edgar Allan Poe by demonrobber Edgar Allan Poe by demonrobber
Edgar Allan Poe was one of the great writers. He wrote dark, macabre tales about plague, murder and premature burial. This is my tribute to one of the founders of gothic literature.

The artwork by AbigailLarson and is also called Edgar Allan Poe.

I am really grateful to AbigailLarson for giving me permission to use her artwork. I think it is the ideal choice. I hope you enjoy my poem and that you read some of the short stories and poems of Edgar Allan Poe. They are truly dark and wonderful.

I get the Black Cat confused with the Tell-Tale Heart. Is that the one where he hides a body behind the wall and the black cat is also hidden behind the wall by mistake?

I have an audiobook of his short stories and a few dvds of his films directed by Roger Corman with Vincent Price. The House of Usher is really good. It would be extremely frightening to be buried alive.

Your parents may be right but the Roger Corman dvds are not as disturbing as modern horror films. They are similar in style to the Hammer horror films. They look a little dated but Vincent Price is really good.

I have sent you a note with the links. I hope you find it useful.
