I never recovered from my broken heart
I drifted from day to day

Hidden away from the outside world

A dark angel searches for her love on earth
She has departed heaven to find her soul mate
She has given up her white garments for those of jet black
She is in a state of mourning and loss
She died but her partner remained on earth
She could hear his bitter sobs while she was in heaven
The tears filled her eyes
And she vowed to return and sooth her partner's soul
God refused her permission to leave
But she departed nonetheless
She has been banned from Heaven for a thousand years
But she can cope with such banishment
So long as she can find here true love
She returns to the cemetery where she was buried
And her true lo

A rail track in the forest
That comes to a sudden end
A strange sight indeed
Take a journey into the dreamworld
Where all things are strange and obscure
You will be greeted by the dark hostess
Who will guide you on your journey
Through a surreal landscape
Where nothing is what it seems
Clocks hang from branches
And telephones are shaped like lobsters
Human forms melt and dissolve in front of you
Welcome to the dreamworld
This landscape was created by the surrealists long ago
A place for the mind to be set free
Enjoy your passage through this world
When you awake your train journey back to reality will begi

My Black RoseMy Black Rose

My black rose is an artist and a poet
She is an anarchist and a rebel
She paints gothic graffiti art on trains and subways
The black rose is her calling card
She sprays out the letters "Grim Reaper"
And she sprays an outline of the figure
She posts her poetry at bus shelters and train stations
For all the public to read
"Read this and pass it on"
"I am the Angel of Death"
"Your time is at an end – follow me!"
"The time has come you are undone"
She posts her poetry outside galleries and museums
"There is better entertainment in the street than inside here"
"Find your own way in the world"

Graveyard MelodyGraveyard Melody

The spirits drift over the graveyard
They are caught in a magic spell
The musician plays the cello
And the spirits start a melancholic dance
The music is both beautiful and haunting
The spirits remember days past
And tears run from their eyes
They start sobbing
As the music reaches its climax
The spirits form a ring around the graveyard
And start to chant in unison
The sound gets louder and louder
The villagers can hear the chanting in their dreams
The whole area is alive with music
Then the music slows and comes to a finale
The spirits are silent once more
The musician has enchanted them for a brief moment

She is the glistening light surrounded by darkness
She is the rainbow after the rain
She is the melody in a child's lullaby
She is the color in the world
She is the hope in us all

She is also the pain in a child's tear
She is the blood dripping on the knife
She is the silent screams at night
She is the monster in the closet
She is the darkness in every light
She is the shadow running at the cornor of your eye
She is the madness in every patient
She is the smile on a killer's face

The Human MiseryMisery tears us apart
Sadness crushes broken little hearts
Senseless people all around acting as wise farts
Fragile bodies penetrated by poisonous darts
Names forgotten wiped off from charts
Running in circles of sanity chasing a lie called art
Overwhelmed by loneliness feels like an outcast,
In place loathe the outcasts
Time is not a healer, when it travels so fast
Leaves you with nothing but agony to last

Weak little bodies can't win the race
Exhausted steps can't keep the pace
Tired sweaty faces
Wandering relentlessly in empty spaces
Tormented bodies hanged by shoe laces
Drifted away leaving unmemorable traces

They had such romantic dreams
Living in an enchanted castle

This spell was long-term
And only the witch could reverse it
She had also once been popular and beautiful
But on her wedding day

The Lost Souls

A young girl sits at her desk
She is lost in a dream
She thinks back to younger days
When she was so happy
Before the tears started to flow
Life moved on
And everyone left the school
They went to college and university
They formed relationships and married
They found interesting jobs and brought up their children
A tear falls down her face
She is sad and distressed
There is nobody left in the school
She sits alone
She did not make it to adulthood
The pain she suffered led to her death
The torment and the teasing drove her to take her life
But she was not accepted into heaven
She will have to wait for all the others to die
There is a time and place for all of us
Her ghost roams the corridors and classrooms
Waiting for her time to join her classmates in heaven
Remember the lost souls and pray for them
